Unity Rejects ZA RP Servers are provided as an at-will service, you are not entitled to access. Access to our services can be restricted or removed by the administrative team at their discretion. We don't owe you an explanation.

Guidelines:

• Age Requirement for Whitelisting: 18+
• A working, quality mic is required.
• Your discord name must be in the correct format: “Character name” - “[steam name]”
• Your character needs to have a somewhat realistic name, and must not break TOS.
• Supernatural RP is not allowed. Meaning no one has superhuman powers or abilities.
• Players must follow Twitch.tv Terms of Service (TOS) at all times. Click HERE to view them.
• Being toxic, or breeding toxicity in any platform (this includes twitch, reddit, discord, etc) can have you removed from the community at any point in time.
• Anyone poaching players for other servers will result in an immediate ban. 
• Pregnancy, Suicide, and Sexual Assault are all strictly banned storylines.

 
Basic Decency & Respect

[Tier system is enforced depending on the situation]
While our goal is to foster a roleplaying experience free from constraints, we realize we have a duty to protect all members of our community regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, etc. We strive to create an environment; a community that promotes a welcoming atmosphere to all members; a community that its members can be proud to say they are a part of. Unity Rejects ZA RP takes a hard stance against any derogatory terms or actions against its members. We will enforce a strict code of conduct within our community and act on items that are distasteful, for example: sexual harassment, excessive name calling or shaming, disrespectful attacks on a personal level, etc. At the end of the day, we are all here to enjoy a world outside of the one we live in. We are here to escape to a world where we can create a new life with amazing experiences. Simply put, respect one another; have justification and reasoning for your actions. Simply saying “it’s my character” will not be considered a valid response. Staff are always here to help with any matters or issues that arise, no matter how big or small.

Player Reports and Bans

• These can be logged via the ticket system on discord to staff. Please ensure you open the correct ticket and use the format provided when submitting. Staff will still need the ID / Name of the person who is suspected of breaking a guideline or rule and video proof. Staff will also actively enforce community rules and guidelines without reports.
• Do not DM Admins or Moderators about issues. We have a ticketing system for a reason! If you are contacting staff unnecessarily through private messages, this may result in a warning. 
• In order for staff to enforce rules without reports, we will need the players ID.
• Do not report or mention issues in game, discord general, twitch, etc, the ONLY place to report players or issues is via the Discord ticket system.
• Staff will require video evidence with voice audio from both parties when submitting tickets. It is therefore a requirement to have video clipping software to play on the server.

Content Creators

We are a streamer friendly community and welcome all who create content. If you are a content creator, you will be required to adhere to the following terms.

• There are dedicated channels to allow you to promote your streams and content, please do not spam or advertise in other channels on discord unless you have had permission to do so.
• You are not permitted to share any content for any other RP server on our server.
• It is prohibited to stream the Unity Rejects ZA RP Discord in any way, shape or form.
• When using another community member’s private discord, please ensure you have clear consent prior to streaming any discussions.
• By being allocated the Streamer role, you become an ambassador for our community and represent us in the public space. Therefore you are requested to behave in a respectable manner at all times, and ensure that your behaviour reflects positively on this community.

 
General Rules 
Tier 1 Rules -

• Stay in character at all times. In the event there’s an issue, completely role-play out the scenario and report if needed. Do not break character or inform the player they are breaking a rule in-game (rule-splain) during the scene. Do not take matters in your own hands, please make a ticket. Please have a clip ready of said incident.
• Baiting. Do not take actions in game in order to bait others into breaking roleplay. 
• Once you have created a character, you may not change the appearance of your character drastically. Eg. Change your facial features etc.
• GTA driving is not allowed. This is driving a car that is not meant for off-road. ONLY off-road vehicles allowed. Putting off-road tires on a tuner car or rally car does not count. The car must be lifted and meant for off-roading.
• /OOC Chat is restricted when meant to stop RP. This feature should only be used for technical issues and for things that cannot be handled in a support channel through discord. 
• /Report should only be used to reach out to Admins in situations where you are stuck under the map, have spawned in and bleeding out, glitched etc. No player reports should be made through this method. 
• Roleplay shouldn’t be stopped or become less serious before a restart; it should continue as normal. 
• No Loot boxing/ Pocket wiping. Looting any player without much roleplay presented for them is prohibited. Only take the necessary items, and leave the rest. DON'T TAKE THEIR FOOD!
• Cops are not allowed to camp any gun/drug locations.
• No Major crime, 40 minutes before or after tsunami shall be committed. Major crime includes Banks, Boosting, Jewellery & any Heist. Small crimes can continue such as player vs. player robberies. 
• No Store robberies and house robberies shall be committed 20 minutes before or after tsunami. 
• You are only allowed ONE car swap during a vehicle chase. Cops are not allowed to do any swaps. Once your vehicle is damaged enough to be removed from the chase, you cannot re-join.
• You are not allowed to pull a new car from the impound or garages while in an active chase. 
• You are not allowed to drive into the ocean while in an active chase. You can park / pull over the vehicle and run towards the ocean on foot.
• No more than 2 vehicles can be used for a robbery/heist. You can ask the PD if they have the capabilities for more vehicles, however this will be dependent on how many officers are available. 
• You cannot use a helicopter as a primary getaway, you can stash a heli at least 2 blocks away. If you are intending to use a heli, you may not request no police heli as a demand.
• Motorcycles can be used in robberies, however you must inform the PD that you are using motorbikes to allow them to get their motorbikes. Max. 2 motorcycles per scene. If you fail to inform PD you are using motorcycles, they have the right to use any means necessary to stop you.
• Safe zones are areas where players can relax. No crimes should be initiated / take place in these locations. No shooting. No hostage taking. No gun deals or drug deals. No robbing & No camping the area. Think of it as a strictly legal only RP rule. So initiating anything illegal in these zones will be considered server rule breaking and you will get punished.   Safe zones: Inside Apartments.

Tier 2 Rules -

• Fail RP
• No attempt to fit into the world in a sensible way (No Intent to RP).
• Talking/organising/calling out locations while downed is forbidden.
• Going AFK for extended periods of time when you have been taken hostage is forbidden.This does not give the other person the chance to roleplay out the scenario. 
• You cannot assume the identity of a person by the sound of their voice. If they have altered their appearance or are wearing a mask, you cannot assume they are the same as their other personage. 
  • Exclusions include a person wearing the same clothes with and without their mask on, this can lead to reasonable identification through deduction.
• Hostages: You cannot use friends as hostages. RP it out and find hostages the right way. If you are taking hostages, you must announce to the police that you have a hostage - they have a protocol to respond to. 
  • You cannot call a taxi or mech service with the intention of taking them hostage.
  • It is prohibited to kidnap or rob persons performing whitelisted jobs whilst they are on duty (i.e in uniform).
    • EMS employees in uniform and on duty around the city are forbidden from being kidnapped, robbed or abducted.
    • You may not kidnap, rob or abduct any Mechanic who is on duty on their premises. If there are more than 2 mechanics on duty in the shop, you may ask whether you can take one hostage, however fewer than this is forbidden.
• No Grinders allowed. Finding the quickest way to make money, rather than roleplaying around the city and jobs. This includes hitting multiple banks/stores and/or grinding. Choosing shooters/grinders over role-players is not acceptable. 
• Avoiding the use of the “put in vehicle” command. Escorting/Carrying people while in vehicles. If the car is a two seater, there should only be two people in that car.
• The use of /me and /notes should be used as much as possible to help aid your scenarios. 
• New Life Rule (NLR): If you are downed (on your back) and respawn at the hospital, use /aimedic or get revived by EMS, your character forgets the immediate events leading up to being downed in the current scenario. NO REVENGE RP!
  • You may not respawn or use /aimedic if you’ve been advised that police or EMS is on the way to your scene. You also must try and contact medical help of some sort while incapacitated. Use /911 [Message] for police and /911ems [Message] for EMS.
  • Any player that is downed in PvP combat may NOT return to the scene until its conclusion. 
  • If you are downed do not say you are dead - the only time you are dead is when your character has been perma'd. Rather use terms like "unconscious" or have a brain injury but the EMS saved your life as you were bleeding out.
• Not Valuing Life (NVL). Not realistically fearing for your life when you are threatened with weapons or severe harm from other means. Having spontaneous shoot outs at PD or hospital is not allowed. Driving at unrealistic speeds with no character reason over and over would not be valuing your life.
•  Antagonising gangs/police or armed individuals for no character reason. 
• No Third Partying. Players should not be inserting themselves into ongoing situations or shootouts, between two groups or one group and the police. If the scene has been started between 2 separate parties, do not third party that scene. This includes banks, stores, gang shootouts, police interactions etc.
• Criminal Activities. Criminal activities are limited to 5 players max. at a time. Relaying information to or between characters (lookouts, radio communications) counts you as part of that scenario. For example, if you have 4 people robbing a bank, you are allowed 1 other person on the outside to relay information. However, if all 5 people are robbing the bank, you are not allowed to have anyone else relay outside information or be a part of that scene.
  • Cops are allowed to bring as many units as possible to the robbery as it will be in real life and there will be no such thing as, you are too many, please leave the scene etc. They will however, ensure there is a balance as to not overpower the scene. 
  • You may not leave ANY robbery / heist  scene before the cops arrive! For e.g. if you are hitting jewellery and you pick up some jewels and you leave immediately without waiting for cops. (this includes stores, banks, Vangelico, or any heist etc). You may wait by your car but, make sure the cops see you and know it's you before you speed away.
  • Please note, you are not allowed to ask the police for money to release hostages! You can NOT demand a shootout in exchange for a hostage. You can demand stuff like no spikes, or safe passage to your cars, no heli, etc. 
  • If you, however you have robbed a store and the cops did not arrive after 10 IRL minutes, you may leave. If you rob a house you can leave when you're done.
  • You may not do any chain robberies, i.e., keep robbing one store after the other.
  • The hostage needs to remain at the scene after negotiations and you only get 1 demand per hostage, with max 2 demands. The criminals can change their demands up until the point the hostage is released to the cops. Breaking your own demands will mark your demands as null and void.
• Players may join criminal gangs. Police may ONLY be involved in small corruption like taking bribes for traffic violations. EMS can do any crimes as long as they are off duty and dressed in civ clothes.

• Whenever characters are brought into police custody and a second group of five is formed to attempt a prison break or transport break, that second group is not allowed to intervene until the prison transport begins. Doing so with small weapons or an unthought out plan is also NVL. 
• You are not allowed to smuggle items into jail, unless you are participating in a jailbreak. 
• No body dumping. This needs to have high quality RP behind it, you shouldn’t just be body dumping everyone. You’re not allowed to body dump people in places where EMS or POLICE cannot access them. Examples include, but are not limited to: middle of the ocean, on top of mountain, deep underground, etc.

Tier 3 Rules -

• Random Death Match (RDM) & Vehicle Death Match (VDM). Attacking another player/group without any story/roleplay leading up to it is RDM. Their character should have reasonable knowledge of why they are being attacked / killed. Attacking another player/group using a vehicle with the intent to kill/knock them out without valid reasoning or initiation is VDM. Speed (100+) attacking other vehicles (ramming), also VDM. No ramming is allowed but, if you break check them and they ram you, it's on you! Also consider desync as an issue before shouting 'ramming', this can happen more often than you think especially when in a chase.
• You must initiate an RP scene before attempting to rob/kill/kidnap someone.
• Power Gaming is the abuse of mechanics to gain an in-game advantage. Using emotes and/or spamming keys to get out of situations, escape any sort of custody or to break out of jail is prohibited and considered an exploit!
  • Finding a glitch in the city and using that to get ahead or to gain an advantage such as money, items, repairing cars etc. is also a form of exploiting and power gaming.
• Escalated aggression zones are areas that are highly protected. If you go there with aggression, the police / owners are within their rights to open fire. These zones include any PD, Prison, power plants, substations and Gang Houses (gang wars).
• Spawn points and camping. Do not camp the entrance or exit of an interior or instance (house), or the exit of the prison. Do not camp mission area's like money wash, car theft, jobs etc.
• No combat logging. Combat logging is when you leave a situation by leaving the server (F8 quit). This may be in a meeting, during a shoot out or getting arrested by PD. Whatever the situation is, leaving it purposely is forbidden. If you lose connection to the server for any reason, you MUST report this on discord in the #my brain popped channel and return to the scene. Not doing so will be considered combat logging.
• In-City Relationships. If you have chosen to roleplay out a relationship in game, the consequences of this are for you to sort out in your personal capacity.
  • If the choice has resulted in a toxic or uncomfortable environment, both parties involved may receive punishment, and recurring punishments will be actioned for situations that do not change. 
  • Relationships are a 2-way street. If one party claims there is no longer a relationship, any contrary claims will be considered sexual harassment.
• Conduct yourself in a respectful manner in the discord. Use of discord to degrade, attack, or harass other members of the community will result in a ban. TO BE CLEAR: If you are unhappy with a person or how a scenario in game has gone, do not use discord in an attempt to dogpile other members of the community onto the person. Do not use discord to attack another person's RP. Do not use discord to attack the server. We welcome suggestions and criticism in regards to our servers, however make sure you are giving those things in a constructive way.

Tier 4 Rules -

• Metagaming. Purposely using or relaying information that your character did not learn in-game (Twitch Chats and Discord Channels included) to shape in-game roleplay. This includes using a third party application to talk and give call outs in game, that were not relayed in the city.
• Police & Judges are not allowed to be part of major corrupt activities, like selling guns/ drugs, being involved with gangs, keeping dirty money, stealing from evidence or armoury (this is a ban-able offence.)

Instant Permanent Bans -

• Use of any racial or homophobic slurs. Attacking someone personally out of character based on looks, mental capacity/attacking someone on a personal level, verbal/sexual harassment etc. will result in a permanent ban.

 
Tier Information
Note these are only baselines; each situation is different and will be handled accordingly to the issues presented.
Tier 1 = This is when the offense is not game changing, however has still broken a rule - Verbal warning / chat. Multiple offenses will result in a Tier 2.
Tier 2 = This is when an offense has affected one or multiple people in a negative way - Discord warning role added.
Tier 3 = This is when the offense has impacted one or multiple people and affected the RP scene in a negative way. Discord role and temporary ban (1 day - 1 week) depending on severity of offence.
Tier 4 = Permanent ban off Discord and Server.

*Warning roles will be reviewed after 30 days with no further reports, with the possibility of them being removed.
Final Warnings will be reviewed at Owners discretion after 90 days.

Guidelines
These are the rules to follow for all gangs, MC’s & criminal organisations.
Gangs have a member cap of (12) official (seated) member’s with a max of (3) hang arounds/prospects. This means that hang arounds/prospects will not be a seated member of said gang, until one of the 12 original seated members leave. To start a gang, you must have a minimum of 5 members.

• Most encounters will have a max of 5v5. If you are dropped, you are out of that encounter and cannot be revived and return to continue (this applies to all encounters, including gang wars). 
• Gang wars can have a max of 5v5. However, if a gang enters another gang's territory, be prepared to deal with all gang members in that territory at that time. So say if gang A enters gang B’s territory, gang B can have as many people there, as it is their territory. Gang A can only have a max of 4 or 5 depending on the situation. 
• You cannot call for other members to show up if a gang enters your territory, unless you have not exceeded 4 to 5 members depending on the situation.
• If a gang is KOS, you must follow the 3 stages below. These stages will take WEEKS to get to. This is not something that happens within days. You need to have an extensive RP history with said gang, before they are KOS.
  
  -Stage 1. Fist fights and melee weapons

      -Stage 2. Shootouts with RP behind it

-Stage 3. KOS until official gang war is set and finished

• Wars and KOS are only started once the leaders of each gang involved sign a contract and agree to terms 
• If you are doing something gang related, you must be identifiable as said gang member. For example, wearing your gang's colors, chains, flags etc. 
• Keep gang beef out of city events.
• If you are in an active Gang War and the PD arrives on scene, you need to fear that PD will intervene and arrest you. (i.e. make sure you disperse immediately).
• If your war is happening at your property / complex - PD will try and not intervene too much. If its on the streets and anywhere else, you can expect PD to intervene. 
• NO POCKET WIPING allowed during gang wars. Only guns and ammo may be taken. 
• If you are killed and on your back, you have to forget everything that has happened with that scenario. Therefore, if this is your first encounter with the opposing side, you would not know you have beef with them.
• You cannot hit banks, heists or any other robberies within the same gang, between 2-3 separate groups at the same exact time. This is power gaming, due to the disadvantage of PD.
• If a civillian logs a ticket of RDM, the gang responsible will be held accountable.
• No RDM tickets will be looked at between gangs. If you are wearing gang colours, you do so at your own risk. (Within reason, do not be stupid about driving people over).
• Gang houses are "escalated aggression" zones (i.e. gang wars / breaching/ escalated conflict). See Tier 3 rules for definition of "escalated aggression".
• If a gang is actively engaged with PD, a rival gang is not allowed to assist any party!

PHRASES & CONCEPTS

• Sometimes people seem to move/teleport without moving. This is normally fixed by jumping. In game you would say “THERE'S A SPIDER ON YOUR FOOT. JUMP!”
• When you need to DC (Disconnect) and Reconnect – I’m going to take a quick nap, I’ll BRB (Be Right Back)
• Freezing or Stuttering Game – I’m getting a brain freeze!
• When someone in game talks OOC (Out of Character) or using real life words like server etc – The person is speaking alien!
• Sometimes if your game disconnects for a second and reconnects, you will get put in a different session. You will experience things like hearing people but not seeing them etc – Just tell people you are dizzy and don’t feel good, you will BRB. You have to log out and log back in to fix this issue.
• When you disconnect your character becomes AI, then when you reconnect you get a new body. Sometimes your old body will turn into a green hair person – Call the green head clone an alien!
• When you get shot down or hit by a car etc and you’re on the floor bleeding waiting for EMS, you are NOT DEAD. You are only dead once you perma your character. Don’t say I died and was revived. It’s better practice to refer to the situation as “I almost died and the EMS saved my life” or “I was knocked out and bleeding”
• If you respawn at the hospital, don’t say “respawned”. Rather use words like “woke up at hospital” etc.
• When talking about Discord – Don’t say “Check your discord”. Rather say “check your discord app on your phone”
• When using OOC or TWEET to ask if Mech’s, Car Dealers etc are online, don’t use the words “online”. Rather ask if they are in town.
• If a glitch occurs and it's not really a RP situation – Explain that it was something to do with Aliens, so people can understand.
• When you need to go AFK say something like, “ i need to go think about something” or “ i need to go poop” or “ i need to take a phone call” (bring up your phone - M).
